Consulting and adaptation strategies
We offer consulting solutions for the design of adaptation measures, plans and strategies aimed at increasing climate resilience.
The current state of climate research makes it possible to simulate expected changes in the future climate and to assess how they may affect us and what strategic decisions are best suited to adapt.
At the Foundation for Climate Research, based on a permanent R+D+i process, we put climate science at the service of companies, administrations and social organizations through consultancy services. In the last decades we have carried out climate studies in multiple countries, all of them adapted to the needs of the contractor.
The generation of local future climate scenarios based on Global Climate Models makes it possible to assess the level of risk and impacts associated with climate change for any territorial area. These assessments, for example, form the basis for the competent authorities to design adaptation plans.
In order for the decision-making process of adaptation to climate change to have a solid scientific basis, it is necessary that the climate information generated is completely updated and adjusted to the scale and needs of the end user. This is exactly what we have been doing for decades at the Foundation for Climate Research, with our own regionalization method “FICLIMA” (English version) that has proven to be scientifically robust and applicable to any sector.
We offer consulting solutions for the design of adaptation measures, plans and strategies aimed at increasing climate resilience.
We prepare climate change impact assessment studies on various areas to assist in strategic decision making.
We make predictions of the probability of occurrence of extreme phenomena adapted to the needs of each case study.
We work to contribute our knowledge in climate research, as a pioneer in statistical regionalization, and we offer training for the support and strengthening of scientific capacities.
We develop seasonal forecasting models for years, months or weeks ahead, designed ad-hoc for each client.
We design tools to simulate expected changes in future climate and assess how they may affect us through risk and vulnerability analysis.
